I See You Walking
everywhere. Mile after mile
after mile, your legs
sashay through the air, arms
wavering - at despair? Your face glares
through the sun at everyone. Will I ever
see you smile - anywhere?
James Keane resides in northern New Jersey with his wife, son and a menagerie of merry pets. He has been writing and revising his poetry over the course of the 100 years since he earned a bachelor's and a master's degree in English Literature at Georgetown University. His poems have appeared in Half Drunk Muse, Lily, Plum Ruby Review, Open Wide, the Southern Ocean Review, poeticdiversity, Unfettered Verse, and elsewhere. He was the Featured Poet of the August 2007 issue of Contemporary American Voices.
