- Charles Baudelaire
She curls, all fur, and
sprawls
easy as sin on the sofa;
slink of limb and flank, click-
click across the kitchen floor.
Nights, she plunges,
disappears
into everything nocturnal; morning
she yawns, stares matter-of-fact,
teeth and talon hidden.
